Moises Gutierrez
Johnstown Chiefs (ECHL) 2009 - 2010 2002 Moises Gutierrez –  Jr. Aces first NHL draft pick (Pittsburg Penguins) 9th round has begun to climb the pro ranks after a break through year at the Major Junior level.  After playing one game in the 2009/2010 season for the Alaska Aces Moises left to play for the Johnstown Chiefs in the ECHL

Brent Cornelius

After playing 2 years in the USHL (Cedar Rapids Rough Riders Recipient of the Clark Cup and Anderson Cup and Tri-City Storm), Brent is now in his 4th year at Iowa State as their Captain for 3 years. He plays defense.  Brent led Team USA in Harbin China World University Games with the first goal 5m34sec into the first game for team USA.  He was named to MI All American Team American Collegiate Hockey Best Defense 2007-2008, 2008-2009, & 2009-2010.

Mike Mayra
Retired 2003 Mike Mayra – Mike completed 4 years of hockey while attending the Air Force Academy and is currently fulfilling his military commitment.


Taylor Sutherlin

Retired   Taylor was the 2nd Jr Aces player to play in the WHL.  After the 2005-2006 season with the Spokane Chiefs, Taylor retired from hockey in order to focus on an acting career

Bryce Christianson
UAA Seawolves
2009-2010
2003 Bryce played on the 2000 Jr. Aces Peewee Team State Champions and played in the 2000 USA Hockey National Champions. Bryce completed his college career with University of Alaska Anchorage playing goalie for the UAA Seawolves.

Jesse Bryant
Retired   Jesse was a key member of the U-17 Jr. Aces team that went to Nationals, and was one of the youngest players in the SEHL’s Elite Division.   Jesse last played for Southern Minnesota Express (NAHL) in 2006-2007

Aaron Rhyner
Retired   Aaron was the top scorer while competing for the East High T-Birds and playing with the Jr. Aces U-17 State Champs.  Aaron played for the Youngstown Phantoms in 2004-2005 where he holds a number of records, including most goals in a game (4) and most hat tricks in a season (3)

Brad Gorham
UAA Seawolves
2010-2011
2002 Ohio State came calling for this Jr. Ace as he received a hockey scholarship to attend the famous football school. Brad coupled a journeyman junior career which saw him change positions from forward to defense at the age of 19 years old.  After one year at Ohio State, Brad returned to Alaska and attends University of Alaska Anchorage and plays for the UAA Seawolves.
Whitney Miller Ohio State Buckeyes
 2007-2008(CCAA)
  Whitney played for the Ohio State Lady Buckeyes for three years before retiring to concentrate on her studies. Whitney was a member of 5 different age group Jr. Aces teams and played up through Midget B’s, a testament of her toughness and athletic ability.

Geric Brodt
Wentworth Leopards (ECAC)
2009-2010
2000 Geric played with Moises Gutierrez and Bryce Christianson on the 2000 Jr. Aces Peewee State Championship team. Geric played for the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior League in the 2006-2007 season before attending Wentworth Institute of Technology where he was named to the all-Rookie team of the ECAC Northeast Division

Nathan Corey
Amherst College

  After playing for the Alaska Avalanche in 2007-2008, Nathan earned the opportunity to attend Amherst College with a 4.0 grade average and currently plays goalie for the Amherst team.
