How we handle the information you give us through the enquiry form, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it.

Who we are

This site is operated by FT Paints Ltd ("we", "us"), trading as JRace, registered in England and Wales under company number 12371003, VAT registration number 345267705, registered office [Registered office address — add before go-live].

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, our registration number is [ICO registration no. — add before go-live].

For anything about your data, contact us at hello@jraces.com.

(02)

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. Through the enquiry form that is:

  • Your name, and the organisation and role you give.
  • Your email address and phone number.
  • Details about your project — the surface and project type, buyer type, approximate size, timeline, site postcode, and any notes you add.
  • Whether you asked us to send a brochure.

We do not ask for special category data. Please don't include anything sensitive in the free-text notes field.

(03)

Why we use it, and our lawful basis

We use your details to respond to your enquiry — to survey and price your project, recommend a product, and follow up about it. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you contacted us about a potential project and replying is what you would reasonably expect. Where you ask for a brochure or agree to marketing, our basis is consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

(04)

Who we share it with

We share your enquiry with the specialist installation partner best suited to your site only where that is necessary to quote or deliver your project.

Enquiries submitted through this site are processed by our customer relationship platform, [CRM provider — confirm before go-live; the enquiry form is intended to post to GoHighLevel], which stores them on our behalf as a data processor under contract. Where that provider stores data outside the UK, the transfer is covered by [transfer mechanism — e.g. UK International Data Transfer Addendum — confirm before go-live].

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to professional advisers where necessary.

(05)

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry data for [retention period — add before go-live, e.g. 24 months] from our last contact with you, after which it is deleted or anonymised. Where a project goes ahead, we keep records for as long as needed for the contract and for any legal, accounting or warranty obligation that follows it.

(06)

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Have inaccurate data corrected.
  • Ask us to erase it, or to restrict how we use it.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Ask for your data in a portable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis.

To exercise any of these, email [Data contact email — add before go-live]. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd rather you came to us first so we can put it right.
