Education · schools, colleges & universities

Surfaces that take a full timetable — and get installed around it.

Multi-use games areas, sports halls, tennis and netball courts and athletics tracks for primary, secondary and higher education. Cushioned products that suit mixed-ability use, installed around term dates so the site is back in service for the new term.

Overview

Schools & universities

Education sites ask more of a surface than almost anywhere else. One court might take PE lessons all morning, clubs after school and community hire at the weekend — across every age group and ability. That points most schools towards a cushioned product that plays consistently, is forgiving underfoot and carries the line markings for several sports at once. Just as important is when the work happens: we schedule installation around term dates and teaching hours, so the facility comes back into use for the start of term rather than closing a space mid-year.

What matters here

What buyers in this sector ask us first.

Every site is different, but the same handful of questions come up each time. Here's how we approach them.

01

One surface, several sports

Most education budgets buy one space that has to cover basketball, netball, tennis, badminton and general PE. A multi-use games area with line markings for each sport is usually the answer, and the cushioned SPU product is our go-to for it.

02

Installed around the timetable

We plan the programme around term dates and teaching hours so the work lands in holidays or outside lesson times wherever the schedule allows — the facility reopens for the new term instead of being fenced off mid-year.

03

Kind on a full range of ages

A cushioned polyurethane surface absorbs impact and is easier on joints than bare tarmac or concrete — it matters when the same court takes Year 3 at 9am and a senior club side at 6pm.

04

Standards that stand up to scrutiny

Our court range is ITF certified and the track range sits in the World Athletics family. Whether a specific install is certified depends on the base and build, which the team confirms per site.

Usually the right fit

Products we most often specify here

A starting point, not a rule — the right product depends on the sport, the setting and the base you already have.
